BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Interested in Helping Here?

Great! You can help adults learn to change their lives by volunteering with Peninsula READS. Our volunteer tutors teach basic reading, writing, math, computer and conversational English skills to adults with a variety of literacy goals. No teaching experience or speaking of another language is required.

Teacher Assisting a Student

If you’re not sure about tutoring, there are other ways you can help make a life-long difference in the lives of the adults we serve.  Please keep in mind that most of our volunteer opportunities are a better fit for individuals than groups.

Once you’ve made your decision, or even if you haven’t, register for an upcoming Volunteer Orientation to learn more! Don’t worry, if you're still not sure which volunteer role is best for you, we can help!
